Yes its true, we have created an online virtual kalimba that you can play for free, heres how to do it and how to get the most out of this great tool with step by step instructions.
1. Go to our virtual kalimba page
Head over to our online virtual kalimba instrument page and familiarise yourself with the notes. Its based on our 17 note physical kalimba instruments with the middle note being the low C and the rest of the notes alternating from left to right going up the scale in the following notes: C,D,E,F,G,A,B,C.,D.,E.,F.,G.,A.,B.,C..,D..,E.. - Click on any of the tines on screen to play the studio quality kalimba sounds.
2. Open a kalimba tab preview
Now that you understand where the note are and how to play them, you will need a kalimba tab. These can be in letter notation, number notation or traditional kalimba notation. Open up one of our most popular kalimba blog posts to see the notes of some easy songs to get you started.
3. Upgrade your playing
You are now well on your way to becoming a kalimba player, here are three main ways to upgrade your playing so that you can take your skills to the next level. The first way, is to get a real kalimba if you havent already, for that we would recommend the Yulin 17 note kalimba as it is based on our virtual model.
